Day of the Girl and International Shipping!

Day of the Girl and International Shipping!

There are many holidays people don’t know much about. Some are strange, some obscure, and some just fairly new.

One “new” holiday, is the International Day of the Girl. This day occurs annually on October 11th, in observance of the fight for gender equality all over the world, as well as recognition of girls everywhere. This annual holiday and summit is held by the United Nations, and was first created in 2011.

But what does this have to do with international shipping services, and what can K International Transport do to help?

The United Nations is an intergovernmental organization in place to keep the countries of the world coexisting peacefully. This means solving global problems, as well as mediating conflicts.

The International Day of the Girl has a new theme every year. The theme of 2014 is “Empowering Adolescent girls: Ending the cycle of Violence.” The summit consisted of a discussion of issues and obstacles girls face, as well as proposed solutions.

Reliable international shipping companies, like K International Transport can help as well! Whether you are shipping overseas or heroically fighting sexism abroad, K International Transport can offer these services:
