Most watercraft are transported across land in one of two ways
-Eases mobility and reduces loading & handling charges. -Often increases boat's overall dimensions, increasing freight costs. -When calculating dimensions, be sure to measure from the outermost points of the craft and trailer, including the trailer hitch and any other protrusions.
-Many boats are secured on custom-built cradles that cannot be towed. -Often adds to the boat's overall height, but not to the length (or even width). -Must be suitable for forklifting and may result in substantial loading and terminal handling charges, especially if a crane must be used.
